The Lost Weekend Music Festival at Rutland Water Cancelled

It appears that the bad weather is the main factor that has contributed to the cancellation of The Lost Weekend Music Festival at Rutland Water near Oakham.

In a statement on The Lost Weekend website, organisers said that the cancellation is "in the light of the recent adverse weather conditions and the prospect of further heavy rain next week"
Rutland Water has never been used for an outdoor music festival, so there is no history of how an event of this size will cope if there is further heavy rainfall.
The Lost weekend organisers go on to say "It would be irresponsible of us to continue. We wish to offer our sincere apologies to everyone who was going to attend and offer our thanks to all those involved for all their help and support.
Further information will appear here in the next few days, but our primary concern is to inform all those who were expecting to be at a lost weekend and we would ask everyone to pass the word around."
A big disappointment.
