As the way we communicate continues to evolve at a rapid pace with increasing dependence on the Internet, the availability of free WiFi has moved away from being 'a nice to have' to an essential part of our lives.

I'm sure I'm not alone in making a decision to meet a colleague, or friend at a specific cafe, hotel or restaurant in and around Oakham, based purely on the fact that I know that it offers free and reliable WiFi that is easy to login to and does not have a sting in its tail, such as 'first 20 minutes free'
A recent post on this site commenting on the wide availability of high speed WiFi in Uppingham, encouraged me to investigate which cafes, pubs, restaurants and hotels in Oakham offer free free WiFi to their customers.

That would meen Railtrack listening to us the public. They haven't listened to us before and they don't really care how long we sit at the crossings in Oakham as long as the trains keep running, and running, and running, and running...............

ReportNot too many in Oakham are there. Wonder why that is. Perhaps the obvious place to have free and reliable wi fi is at the railway crossings in Oakham, most of us spend our time sitting there waiting to either get into or out of the town. Look at all the work we could get through if they did put free wi fi in the signal box.
